This is a 147 grain full metal jacket bullet, which is exactly what you need to load M80 ammunition. The bullet’s core is solid lead; its jacket is made of copper alloy, and cannot attract a magnet. The bullet’s jacket has a cannelure around its midsection to help keep it firmly planted in the case mouth, and its base is fully jacketed to prevent hot propellant gasses from searing lead off the core. When loaded to deliver a 2,740 fps muzzle velocity out of a 22” barrel, the FMJ achieves a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.398.
